Pink Martini Manchester Concert reviews
Pink Martini rocks!
I am a recent convert to Pink Martini and this was my first concert with them. They did not disappoint. The audio was pretty good despite being an outdoor event. There was some audience participation, which was nice of the band to do. The singers were outstanding, especially China Forbes.
The venue was easy to get to using public transportation. During the summer, this venue with the city and water views must be amazing. The weather during the concert was a bit misty and windy, but overall, bearable.
There were two giant screens provided so that the audience members didn't have to crane their necks to see the singers. I do have one complaint though. I don't know who was in charge of the camera for the giant screens, but the person kept panning to one of the violinists. I get that the violinist was an attractive woman, but I paid good money to see Pink Martini and not some side musician. It got very annoying to see the violinist rather than the main and guest singers like China Forbes, Ari Shapiro, Timothy Nishimoto, etc.
